What’s all this, then?

I’m starting InsideHPC as a blog that captures news and events in the world of HPC as a resource for supercomputing professionals.

The idea is not to compete with sites like HPCwire or Supercomputing Online, but to supplement them. If you want in depth, long form feature coverage then those are the sites for you.

What I’m shooting for is short, scannable bits of information that you can run through several times throughout the day and keep up with what’s going on in our community. This is a site that will do very well in your news feed reader or aggregator, if you use one. And we’ll always link to more details when you find something you want to know more about.

I’m starting out with just this blog, but I have several other projects in development that will tie in with what you find here and round out your options for keeping pace with all the HPC news for supercomputing professionals.
