San Diego Super: now with 3 times more blue

SDSC, the lead site in NSF’s TeraGrid initiative, just tripled the size of its Blue Gene installation (to 17 TFLOPS). They also added enough new IBM TS1120 drives and 700 GB tape media to grow their mass storage capacity from 7 PB to 25 PB.

That’s right, peta. Good times.
