Heise Online reported earlier this week that the Technical University of Chemnitz just brought a new 2,152 processor supercomputer online. The Infiniband-connected system has graphics cards in 12 of its 538 nodes, is housed in 18 water-cooled racks, and is connected to 60 TB of storage.

The computer runs Scientific Linux 4.3 (ported from Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4), and uses Lustre as the file system.
