SGI gets a seat on NASA's new 7-year IT contract

SGI announced yesterday that it has again won a position as prime contract holder on NASA’s 7-year Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) IV Program. From the release:

SGI logoevery product SGI sells is available to NASA and other U.S. Government agencies at prices published on the SEWP IV schedule. The purchasing program represents total procurements that could reach as much as $5.6 billion through April of 2014. The program involves 37 Competed Prime Contract Holders offering a wide range of IT products. SGI expects to participate in this program as it has in the past as a supplier of SGI® Altix® servers, InfiniteStorage solutions and associated services.

SGI is a longtime prime contract holder in NASA’s SEWP program, and is the only company to win a HPC server contract.
