Super Micro announces super quiet SMB HPC blades

At the IDF today Super Micro (or Supermicro, their PR people can’t decide) announced new products based on Intel’s MC chips

“Optimized for office environments, the OfficeBlade that we are demonstrating at IDF operates at less than 50 dB! With 10 DP blades featuring quad-core Xeon processors, Gigabit Ethernet switch, chassis management module and high-efficiency (93%) power supplies, the whole blade system only consumes 1500 watts of power,” said Charles Liang, president and CEO of Supermicro.
