		<description>I&#039;m a bit puzzled by this, since Linux&#039;s MD has been doing SW raid for a long time.  the raidcore cards appear nice, but it&#039;s hard to tell whether they&#039;re any better than cheaper ones (4pt sata2 for &gt;$300 doesn&#039;t seem very competitive).  achieving 1 GB/s from 32 disks isn&#039;t particularly noteworthy either.</description>
