FSU material may enable quantum computing

SC Online is carrying a story about a new material developed at FSU that may advance quantum computing. The discovery was originally reported in the journal Physical Review Letters

The material — a compound made from the elements potassium, niobium and oxygen, along with chromium ions — could provide a technological breakthrough that leads to the development of new quantum computing technologies.
