NVIDIA Working on GPGPUs for Apple Macs

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

NVIDIA Corporation is in early development stages of producing a version of their Tesla line of general purpose graphics processors [GPGPUs] for Apple Macs. The device will most certainly support NVIDIA’s CUDA development architecture, already running on Windows and Linux platforms. No further details were available as of this writing, but keep your eyes peeled. I don’t imagine the port from Linux should be horribly difficult for OSX.

In the mean time, read insideHPC’s coverage of CUDA here, here and here.
