Silicon Mechanics have announced the latest addition to their clustered computed products. The Hyperform ICR Cluster series is an Intel Cluster Ready-certified solution based on the latest Intel silicon.
The Intel Cluster Ready-certified Hyperform ICR Cluster is an aggregate of servers, interconnects, operating system, and cluster applications. The head node is the Silicon Mechanics Rackform iServ R244, and the 10 compute nodes are contained in five 1U Rackform iServ R1515 twin servers. The twin form factor of the R1515 optimizes compute density, with support for two compute nodes in each 1U of rack space. The certified cluster middleware is Rocks+ by Clustercorp.
