SiCortexSiCortex has announced that it has crowned a new president and chief operating officer.  Christopher Stone will receive the appointment of both titles.  John Mucci, the founding CEO, will continue to serve on the SiCortex board of directors.  Most recently, Stone served as CEO of StreamServe, a dynamic document composition company.  He’s also held several executive positions at Novell, Tilion and Object Management Group [who invented CORBA].

With nearly three decades of experience, half of which was focused on building technology businesses, Chris brings to SiCortex a wealth of expertise that is sure to translate technology differentiation into financial success,” said SiCortex board member and Ethernet inventor Bob Metcalfe. “His background complements the deep HPC experience that already exists within the company, and the resulting collaboration will undoubtedly be a key asset in building SiCortex’s market position.”

Stone was named one ZD’s Top 50 People in High Tech in 1999.  He has also been named a “Top Ten Entrepreneur” by Red Herring in 2001.
