Symposium on Application Accelerators in HPC

The NCSA-hosted Symposium on Application Accelerators in HPC is gearing up for sumissions for its July 2009 conference

The first annual 2009 Symposium on Application Accelerators in High-Performance Computing (SAAHPC’09) aims to bring together developers of computing accelerators and end-users of the technology to exchange ideas and learn about the latest developments in the field. The Symposium is co-organized by the U.S. National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) and the Institute for Advanced Computing Applications and Technologies (IACAT), both at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is built upon two previous successful event series: the Workshop on Programming Massively Parallel Processors (PMPP, held in 2008) and the Reconfigurable Systems Summer Institute (RSSI, held annually 2005 through 2008).

…Presentations from technology developers and the academic user community are invited. Researchers interested in presenting at the Symposium should submit extended abstracts of 2-3 pages to submit@saahpc.org by April 20, 2009. All submissions will be reviewed by the Technical Program Committee and accepted submissions will be presented as either oral presentations or posters. Presentation materials will be made available online at www.saahpc.org. Authors of the best presentations will be invited to submit full papers to a special issue of a journal (TBD).
