UPCRC Illinois Summer School for Multicore Programming

The Universal Parallel Computing Research Center has announced a series of courses this summer designed to introduce programmers to multicore programming paradigms.  From their website:

Our program will provide a solid foundation in the fundamentals of multicore programming, offer hands-on experience with the use of multicore languages and libraries, and introduce emerging research topics. Upon completion, participants will be familiar with available tools, languages, and libraries that can be used to develop parallel programs, the pros and cons of those utilities, and will be able to choose the programming environment that best matches their application needs.

Those interested in attending the course series should have a solid background with applicable experience in programming.  No real practical experience in multicore paradigms is required.  The courses will be offered onsite in Urbana or virtually.
