The Sun HPC Watercooler posted an announcement regarding a Sun HPC/Lustre BOF at the ISC 2009 conference. They will also allow users to grill the engineering team in a Q&A session later in the day. From the release:
As Sun’s Lustre filesystem and the complimentary Sun HPC Stack evolve, a number of new features are planned to enhance functionality and scalability. These includes clustered metadata, petascale scalability, end to end data integrity using the Sun ZFS filesystem. Please join us for an overview of current features and new developments planned with these two Sun products.
Senior engineers Makia Minich of the HPC Stack team and Andreas Dilger of the Lustre team will review areas of technology they are currently working on, and take detailed questions from the audience.
