Sun HPC Workshop

Sun is hosting an HPC Software Workshop September 07 – 10, 2009 in  Regensburg, Germany. Details here (shame to see them part on the useful hpcworkshop.com domain for this…). Marc Hamilton comments on the workshop on his blog

Sun logoThis three day workshop contains three tracks with Sun and Customer presentations around Sun Grid Engine, Open Storage (including Lustre and SAM-QFS), and software Tools such as Sun Studio and Sun HPC ClusterTools. Talks will range from general to very detailed engineering topics. At times in the schedule the three tracks will merge into one track for specific plenary sessions that have a general interest. For example, a detailed talk on Sun’s HPC Stack would be a plenary session. The conference will begin at 9am on Tuesday and end at 1pm on Thursday.

  1. I have just stumbled upon this site, and so far have found it informative and interesting.

This sounds like it would have been a very interesting work shop, as the topic is very valid, maybe an update on how the event was, and maybe a little of what was said would be interesting to see.
