I’ve remarked about the network effect that NVIDIA is enjoying with its GPU technologies before, and here’s more evidence.

nVidia logoNVIDIA Corporation today announced that its second annual Emerging Companies Summit will feature presentations by 60 start-up companies from a dozen countries, discussing how they utilize graphics processing units (GPUs) to deliver innovative solutions in areas ranging from cloud computing and computer vision to gaming and image processing.

The event, which brings together entrepreneurs with those who fund their ventures, will be held at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, Calif., from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, 2009, in conjunction with the GPU Technology Conference, the year’s most significant event dedicated to application development on the GPU. Detailed registration and information on the start-up companies can be found at www.nvidia.com/ecs.

More in the release.
