SiCortex IP still on the shelf

We’ve been trying to keep tabs on SiCortex’s assets since the company shuttered during the summer. The sale was to have been concluded in late June, but other than the move of the PathScale compiler suite to Cray, we haven’t heard a peep.

SiCortex logoToday we get confirmation that no one is interested in the pieces, at least yet. An article in NetworkWorld.com that deconstructs the SiCortex failure (but doesn’t uncover any new ground that we didn’t get from co-founder Matt Reilly right after the shutdown) quotes co-founder Jud Leonard on the question of what happened to all that IP

But the rest of SiCortex’s intellectual property has gone unclaimed. Leonard says he “can’t understand why somebody hasn’t bought it.”
