Now for something completely different. Sun has posted an interesting and very humorous [in a sick, JBOD sort of way] video eliciting disk latency. As we all know, spinning media is sensitive to all sorts of physical constraints, vibration included. The video details the work of Brendan Gregg of Sun Fishworks inducing latency on hard disks with his voice [literally]. Its actually quite funny. Take a look.
