AccelerEyes announced today that they have strengthened their sales, marketing and business development leadership.  So who’s new within the walls of Atlanta’s AccelerEyes?  Former Interactive Supercomputing VP of Sales David Gibson has joined the company as the new VP of sales and marketing.

Gibson is an old hat around the halls of HPC sales and marketing.  He has over 24 years of experience in the market.  Most recently, he helped build Interactive Supercomputing into a viable entity with sales into the US Air Force, Goldman Sachs, the National Cancer Institute and countless research organizations.  Prior to Interactive, Gibson was Director of Channel Sales and the National Sales Director for the US Higher Education Sector for SGI.

AccelerEyes is solving a critical problem facing technical computing as it begins heavy adoption of graphics processing units (GPUs), namely, lowering the cost and complexity of programming millions of GPUs to make users more productive. That’s why I joined. It’s an exciting and lucrative opportunity to help research organizations solve deeper technical problems and for commercial customers to earn a better ROI,” Gibson said. “I am confident Jacket will be an essential platform on which a majority of compute‐driven organizations will depend in the near future.”

AccelerEyes makes the up and coming Jacket software package that is designed to deliver GPU performance to Matlab users.  For more info, check out the AccelerEyes website here.
