This week Intel announced a new facility that it is making available to the academic computer science community, the Manycore Testing Lab

Intel logoTo help the software programming students of today become the manycore developers of tomorrow, Intel is introducing the Manycore Testing Lab, a development environment that allows professors and students to remotely test code scalability up to 32 cores. As part of the Intel Academic Community, which provides parallel programming and visual computing curricula and resources to professors at more than 1,800 universities worldwide, the testing lab is available to members at no cost. A demo of the Manycore Testing Lab will be shown at the SIGSCE Intel booth (#301), March 10-13. To request login access to the Manycore Testing Lab or become a member, visit the Intel Academic Community.

There is (only a little) more about the lab itself on this page.
