Cheyenne Supercomputing Center Officially Breaks Ground

For those of you following the progress of the latest NCAR supercomputing center destined for Cheyenne, Wyoming; you’ll be happy to learn that they officially broke ground on the new facility today.

According to an article on the local Cheyenne CBS affiliate [CBS5], Governor Freudenthal helped representatives from the University of Wyoming and NCAR to dig the first scoops of dirt from the Cheyenne build site.

The center is scheduled to open in the North Range Business Park of Cheyenne sometime in 2012.  For more info, check out the source article here.
