Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Long-time evangelist of HPC at Sun, Marc Hamilton has been named Vice President of High Performance Computing at HP. From his Linkedin profile:

Marc is general manager of the High Performance Computing team within HP’s Industry Standard Servers group. Marc’s team works with HP engineering, marketing, and sales to meet the current and future HPC requirements of a wide variety of HP customers, from the world’s leading universities and national research labs to energy, life science, manufacturing, financial services, and other industries.

As for Oracle, they continue to market and support Sun HPC products such as the Lustre File System and Oracle Grid Engine. You won’t find them on the list of exhibitors at SC10, so we’ll have to see what happens with the company’s priorities in this space.
