New Course: Programming for RDMA Using OFA Software

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The OpenFabrics Alliance is offering a new course to help you take full advantage of RDMA to improve your data center’s performance and cost effectiveness. Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) is a powerful programming paradigm finding widespread adoption in many large systems – from high performance computing to enterprise data centers.

This two-day course provides application developers with classroom instruction and hands-on experience coding applications directly to the Verbs API using the OpenFabrics Enterprise Distribution (OFED) and related software tools.

Writing Application Programs for RDMA using OFA Software
University of New Hampshire’s InterOperability Lab (UNH-IOL)
Date: January 19-20, 2011

New Hampshire in January? I know it sounds cold, but I’m told the location at the University of New Hampshire was chosen because the InterOperability Lab has one of the most heterogeneous hardware setups you can imagine. So you can test your code on just about any platform right there at the center. Plus, attendees enrolled by Dec. 24 will receive a free pass and rentals to Loon Mountain for skiing on Friday, January 21.

Who should attend:
Application developers skilled in C programming and familiar with sockets but with little or no experience programming with OpenFabrics Software.
