The response from the Deep Blue team was somewhat disappointing and I believe that they never did put the Deep Blue system online to allow other people to play the system and IBM fairly soon after the project disbanded the team which I thought was disappointing. Also, it would be nice to see IBM work on a Go playing system once they have really proven their chess playing Deep Blue system. I also went by the IBM booth at SC97 and asked about this. This system may be more "general" than the highly-tuned to a single player Deep Blue system.
