Europe’s e-Infrastructure Reflection Group (e-IRG) has posted an interesting collection of supercomputing case studies from PRACE, TeraGrid, PDC, KTH, and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. I have found that these kinds of documents to be extremely valuable tools for communicating the importance of HPC to the uninitiated. Download the PDF.
In related news, e-IRG will hold it’s first workshop of the year in Budapest, 4-5 April 2011. As open forums, the e-IRG workshops serve as a platform to investigate and document the e-infrastructural needs of European science and academia. Read the Full Story.
