Register Now: Georgia Tech GPU Tutorial, April 14-15

Isn’t it time you got some first-hand experience with GPUs? On April 14-15, 2011, the Keeneland project and the Georgia Tech NVIDIA CUDA Center of Excellence will present a two day tutorial on GPU heterogeneous processing for computational science.

“The Keeneland Project is a five-year, $12 million Track 2D grant awarded by the NSF for the deployment of an experimental high performance system. The Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) and its partners, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory will initially acquire and deploy a small, experimental, high-performance computing system consisting of an HP system with NVIDIA Tesla accelerators attached.”

Tutorial topics will include:

  • Architectural overview and motivation
  • Introduction to CUDA
  • Introduction to OpenCL
  • Application case studies
  • Overviews of GPU enabled libraries, correctness and performance tools, and compilers
  • High level language interfaces, such as MATLAB, R, and Accelereyes, to GPUs
  • Advanced optimization techniques for GPUs
  • Hands-on time with the Keeneland Initial Delivery System on Friday (4/15) afternoon

The event will be held at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. To register, check out the event site.
