Today Mellanox announced a new record in low-latency messaging performance for Ethernet networks. Based on the latest STAC-M2 benchmark, the test was conducted by Mellanox on IBM systems. The Mellanox and IBM solution outperformed the most recent record holder (based on a comparable configuration), achieving a 30 percent improvement over results that were announced just two months ago.

With industry-leading, low-latency performance, Mellanox’s ConnectX-2 EN with RoCE NICs and the IBM BNT RackSwitch G8264 deliver superior results to high-transaction databases and financial services,” said John Monson, vice president of product marketing at Mellanox Technologies. “These recent STAC-M2 benchmarks are the latest application level evidence of our performance leadership in low-latency connectivity solutions.”
