In this podcast, QLogic’s Joe Yaworski discusses the company’s recent Tri-Labs Linux Capacity Cluster Award. The company will provide InfiniBand for three major supercomputer centers, providing over 3 Petaflops of HPC computing capacity.

“Under the TLCC2 contract , the NNSA is making a strategic investment in supercomputing resources to keep up with the heavy demands for capacity computing in support of NNSA’s stockpile stewardship program, the effort to ensure the safety, security and reliability of the nation’s nuclear deterrent without testing. The selection of Appro and QLogic was the result of a highly competitive evaluation and benchmarking process that involved all major InfiniBand interconnect vendors. This award follows QLogic’s successful deployment of more than 4,000 nodes connected with TrueScale InfiniBand at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory in late 2010. In this deployment, the TrueScale architecture has proven itself to be one of the most scalable interconnects ever deployed by the DOE/NNSA.
