In this video, Bill Kramer, SC11 Technical Program co-Chair answers the question: Why Supercomputing?

The Technical Program is the major component of SC11, with the persistent conference goal that all selected work is regarded in the highest esteem. The conference Technical Program is highly competitive, with historic acceptance rates for technical papers between 20-25%. The technical program is also one of the broadest, with activities focused on high performance computing, networking, storage, and analysis.
