The Register, one of the world’s largest online tech publications, and insideHPC, one of the most popular web portals for High Performance Computing (HPC) news, commentary and analysis, today announced a collaborative cross-publishing agreement.

The two publications have agreed to post selected content from each other’s sites, bringing a wider and deeper range of news coverage to their respective audiences.

We at insideHPC are excited to contribute to The Register’s coverage of high performance computing,” said Rich Brueckner, President of insideHPC. “insideHPC’s cross-publishing agreement with The Register will greatly expand the visibility and reach of our publication in Europe and other geographies that are ramping up their investments in HPC. Global competition in HPC has never been stronger, and the need to reach a worldwide, targeted audience has never been more important for electronic technology publishers. This collaborative cross-publishing agreement creates a very strong value proposition for our combined audiences of readers and advertisers.”

Dan Olds, resident HPC analyst at The Register, said: “This agreement is a win-win for both publications. InsideHPC’s short format blog site continues to grow in popularity with the majority of its readers categorized as HPC end users, administrators and technical decision makers, and we look forward to reaching this critically important audience with our coverage of topics of keen interest to the HPC community throughout the Americas.”

Starting out in London in 1994 as an occasional email newsletter, The Register began publishing online daily in 1998. The insideHPC blog started publishing in 2006, and has tripled its circulation over the past four years.
