In this video, technicians install the new 1 Petaflop Avoca Blue Gene/Q supercomputer at the Victorian Life Sciences Computation Initiative (VLSCI) in Melbourne, Australia. Avoca is currently #31 on the TOP500 and #15 on the Green500.
As reported here, Avoca was used in a recent ground-breaking simulation of the rhinovirus that causes the common cold.
