MSC Software has just released a GPU-accelerated version of the Marc 2012 Finite Element Analysis application, which speeds up a range of engineering simulations. By accelerating complex manufacturing and design simulations by two to six times, GPU acceleration enables engineers to develop more realistic models faster development cycles.

In the case of the auto industry, this could mean improved powertrain reliability through better thermal management, longer-lasting transmission components with the design of more rugged rubber boots and seals, and better fuel efficiency.”
