In this video, Sergi Girona from the Barcelona Supercomputing Center presents: The Spanish Supercomputing Network.

The Spanish Ministry of Science & Innovation (MICINN) created the Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES) in July 2006 in response to the need of the Spanish scientific community for increased capacity and access to intensive calculation resources, considering the supercomputing resources as a decisive asset fro the scientific and technological development of the country. The RES is coordinated by the BCC-CNS and consists of a distributed virtual infrastructure of 8 supercomputers located at different sites, each of which contributes to the the total processing power available to users of different R&D groups in Spain.”
