Today Mellanox announced that the company’s Connect-IB networking technolgy for scalable computing demonstrates record performance with more than 135 million messages per second and data throughput higher than 100Gb/s. Based on 56Gb/s FDR InfiniBand, the Connect-IB dual-port adapter achieves the industry’s highest throughput 4.5X higher performance than competing solutions. These performance capabilities are critical to High-Performance Computing (HPC), Web 2.0, Cloud, Big Data and financial applications which require a high rate of message communication in order to deliver faster results and provide a competitive advantage to their users.
