Time-lapse Video: Cray XC30 Cascade Supercomputer Build at Swiss CSCS

In this video, engineers assemble the Cray XC30 at CSCS in Lugano, Switzerland. The system has been named “Piz Daint” after the after the prominent peak of the Swiss part of the Ortler Alps in Grisons.

With its 12 cabinets Piz Daint is the largest Cray XC30 that has been delivered and assembled so far. This is the new generation Cray supercomputer based on Intel processors.
