Job of the Week: HPC Systems Programmer at SDSC

The University of California San Diego is seeking an HPC Systems Programmer in our Job of the Week.

As the scale and complexity of HPC systems grow, the ability to automate systems management and to understand, analyze, and troubleshoot multiple hardware and software layers becomes critical. As part of SDSC’s High Performance Systems group, the HPC Systems Programmer provides software development expertise in the areas of: network and file system performance analysis; Linux cluster configuration management; automation of system maintenance; and systems and network monitoring. The position also participates in the analysis, specification, design, implementation, and monitoring of high performance computing systems to enable scientific research computing. The responsibilities include system administration with on-call duties for large HPC Linux-based clusters with high-performance interconnects such as InfiniBand and 10-gigabit Ethernet.
