Exascale, or more colloquially stated, extreme computing, will enable transformational and innovative advances in scientific discovery, predictive understanding of complex systems, and large-scale data management and analytics, to meet the nation’s needs in economic and national security; sustainable energy, environment, and climate; and increasingly in the industrial and commercial sectors.
