Job of the Week: IAM Architect and Programmer for LIGO

The LIGO group at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee is seeking two IAM Architect Programmers in our Job of the Week. Successful candidates will develop and support software infrastructure for the LIGO Identity and Access Management (LIAM) project.

LIGO is an ambitious national project funded by the National Science Foundation to detect gravitational waves from astrophysical sources in collaboration with other detectors from around the world. As such, the successful candidate will be working with top scientists from around the world toward ground-breaking research in fundamental science.

The successful candidate will work as part of the LIAM project team to design, develop, deploy, and support software infrastructure for meeting the identity and access management needs of LIGO. Work will include assisting in the maintenance and enhancement of existing LIAM infrastructure, design and implementation of additional infrastructure, development and/or integration of appropriate domain applications, and providing technical support to users of this complex environment. The candidate will report to the LIAM Project manager and attend regular meetings of the LIAM Project team. Team members are expected to keep abreast of current developments in identity and access management and work with the LIAM team to leverage them to improve the infrastructure.
