Over at LBNL, Mark Wilson writes that the Energy Efficient High Performance Computing Working Group (EE HPC WG) continues its mission promote energy-efficient computing best practices and to drive improvements in energy performance of HPC systems.

The workgroup also shares its expertise through workshops. It will present the ‘Building’ Energy Efficient High Performance Computing Workshop at SC13 in Denver, Colorado, in November. This popular annual workshop will feature high-profile researchers discussing new developments in energy-efficient HPC from both the facilities and system perspectives; from architecture through design and implementation.
