NAG Addressing the HPC Skills Gap in the UK

Nag logoThis week the the Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) announced that that over 2000 attendees have now benefitted from the company’s highly rated HPC training courses in the UK. In its efforts to address the HPC skills for the scientific computing community, NAG has operated the UK’s national CSE Support Service as a core part of the HECToR supercomputing service since 2006.

A fundamental requirement for attaining the best science, engineering or other research output from high performance computing is that users and programmers have the skills required to use the technology. NAG’s range of HPC Services offerings are designed to solve this challenge.

NAG’s HPC training programs include courses for programmers covering such topics as Fortran, MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, OpenCL, debugging, performance, and scalability, providing hands-on use of supercomputers and batch systems.
