NCSA in Illinois will once again host its open house Petascale Day as a celebration of big computing and big data on October 15.
Everyone is invited to see and learn more about Blue Waters, one of the world’s most powerful supercomputers. Tours of the supercomputer are self-paced, so visit the National Petascale Computing Facilty (1725 S. Oak St., Champaign) any time between 3 and 6 p.m. and stay as little or as long as you like. Guides will be available to answer questions. Come alone, or with a group—all ages welcome!
In this video, NCSA’s Brett Bode explains “What is a Quadrillion?” at last year’s Petascale Day event.
