The HPC Advisory Council has released the preliminary agenda for the Stanford HPC Conference and Exascale Workshop. The event will take place on February 3-5, 2014 with a focus on HPC usage models, benefits, best practices, futures and other advanced HPC topics.

We are pleased to continue our collaboration with Stanford University and look forward to another successful worldwide HPC Advisory Council conference,” said Gilad Shainer, Chairman of the HPC Advisory Council. “The HPC Advisory Council’s worldwide conferences and workshops are excellent educational opportunities for HPC and data center IT professionals who are looking to deploy or provide additional enhancements and functionality to their advanced high-performance solutions.”

New to this year’s program is the extended Exascale Workshop, a half-day event organized as part of the Thermal and Fluid Sciences Affiliates Program Conference, which will illustrate the vision of Exascale scientific computing. Talks will be given by leaders in the hardware community, representatives of the national laboratories, and engineering firms. The new Stanford Center for Exascale Engineering Computing sponsored by the DOE will also be featured.

The full conference is open to the public and will bring together system managers, researchers, developers, computational scientists and industry affiliates. Speaking and sponsorship opportunities are available on a limited basis.
