searchThe Center for Gravitation, Cosmology, and Astrophysics (CGCA) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) is seeking Scientific Data Application Developers in our Job of the Week.

You will specialize in building and supporting software for the LIGO (www.ligo.org) project. LIGO is an ambitious project, funded by the National Science Foundation, to detect gravitational waves from astrophysical sources and is part of a worldwide network of gravitational-wave detectors. You will be working toward ground-breaking research, with cutting edge computing challenges, in collaboration with top scientists from around the world. Members of the CGCA play an important role in LIGO concentrating on data analysis and software infrastructure. The CGCA at UW-Milwaukee also offers an exciting and friendly environment in which to work and play. We have a world-class scientific computing team that works on software for LIGO and other astronomy projects. With almost forty faculty, staff, postdocs, and students, the center is a fun and vibrant place to work.
