IBTA logoThis week the InfiniBand Trade Association (IBTA) announced the availability of its October 2013 Combined Cable and Device Integrators’ List. The updated Integrators’ List is a compilation of all products that passed the InfiniBand compliance and interoperability requirements at the IBTA Plugfest 24 event in October 2013.

During Plugfest 24, the IBTA verified the compliance and interoperability of a variety of Host Channel Adapter (HCA) cards, switches, storage targets, gateways, and cables at speeds up to Fourteen Data Rate (FDR) 56Gb/s InfiniBand. In addition to these tests, there was continued beta compliance testing for cables supporting the Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) 100Gb/s InfiniBand standard. IBTA members Anritsu and Tektronix contributed an Active Time Domain (ATD) test suite for testing Active EDR cables and members Agilent Technologies and Mellanox Technologies worked together to contribute an automated testing methodology for FDR devices. These test methodologies have been made public and can be found on the IBTA website.

IBTA’s bi-annual Plugfest interoperability and compliance testing events are continually important for vendors and end-users as InfiniBand and RDMA technology evolves in terms of higher speed and performance,” said Rupert Dance, co-chair of the IBTA Compliance and Interoperability Working Group (CIWG). “We work with our partners and members to advance testing methods and specifications in order to ensure devices are compliant and interoperable with the latest InfiniBand specifications.”

Vendors that contributed test equipment to the IBTA Plugfest 24 include Agilent Technologies, Anritsu, Molex, Tektronix and Wilder Technologies.

The IBTA’s next Plugfest event will take place March 31 – April 11, 2014 at the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Lab. For more information, or to register for Plugfest 25, please visit the IBTA Plugfest website.
