In this video, Dave Jackson from Adaptive Computing presents: Smart Power Management with NREL, HP, and Adaptive Computing.
NREL has a vision and a mission to advance power management to the next level. Right now, a user has no idea how much power they are consuming. And if they have no idea, they have no motivation to change their behavior. They have no motivation to see if they could run their configuration differently–slightly bigger, smaller, run it at a lower P state, all of those things. So they’re just running whatever’s easy and convenient in a completely non-power-aware manner. So now you have individual power budgets and organizational power budgets.”
