Today OpenSFS announced the agenda for the LUG 2014 conference. With technical presentations on Exascale, Hadoop, Big Data, Cloud, and new Lustre markets in Enterprise, the Lustre User Group event will take place April 8-10 in Miami.
We expect this 12th annual LUG to have the largest attendance ever, but we are treating it like the very first. We’ve structured the event to allow more time for discussion and collaboration while maintaining an incredibly strong list of topics. This means LUG 2014 will be squarely focused on the community,” said Galen Shipman, OpenSFS Chairman. “Come to Miami and discuss the great advances Lustre has and will continue to make.”
Conference Highlights include:
- The inaugural Lustre Annual Report from OpenSFS examining the current status of Lustre in multiple vertical markets spanning the high performance computing, Big Data, and enterprise computing markets, including the drivers and barriers for future adoption.
- Deep technical presentations from DataDirect Networks, Intel, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), NetApp, Oakridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), TITECH (Japan), and Xyratex.
- Wide range of technical poster sessions for easy access at any point during the event.
LUG 2014 is made possible with the support of Gold sponsors: Cray, DataDirect Networks, Intel, System Fabric Works, and Xyratex, with Silver sponsors: Aeon Computing and Bull.
