Brief History and Future Development of Earth System Models

In this video from the NERSC Nobel Lecture Series, Warren Washington from NCAR presents: The Brief History and Future Development of Earth System Models: Resolution and Complexity. Mr. Washington won the 2007 Nobel Prize as a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

NERSC is sponsoring a series of these lectures describing the research behind four Nobel Prizes. The Laureate speakers are also long-time users of NERSC’s supercomputing resources.
