Cray’s CTO and YarcData Lead Leaving the Company

execsSeeking Alpha reports on some big changes for the Cray executive team.

  • CTO William C. Blake will be leaving the company on Aug. 1. Blake has been Cray’s CTO since 2012. Before that, he was the head of Microsoft’s parallel computing platforms unit.
  • Arvind Parthasarathi, the head of Cray’s YarcData (big data/analytics appliance) unit, will be leaving on Aug. 15.

According to Cray, both execs are departing to “pursue entrepreneurial opportunities.”

In related news, MongoDB CEO Max Schireson has joined Cray as a member of the Board.
