HPCAC Announces 3rd Annual Spain Supercomputing Conference

hero-bannerToday the HPC Advisory Council announced it will host the 3rd Annual HPC Advisory Council Spain Conference 2014 at the University of Cantabria in Spain on September 24th, 2014. Speaker and sponsorship opportunities are available for the event, which will be co-hosted by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center.

The conference will focus on the following subjects:

  • High-performance computing systems
  • High-speed networks
  • High-performance and parallel I/O
  • Communication libraries: MPI, SHMEM, PGAS
  • Advanced topics / technologies / development / the road to Exascale
  • GPU computing, CUDA, OpenCL
  • New HPC initiatives and programs

In conjunction with the HPC Advisory Council Spain Conference, the Spanish Supercomputing network will be celebrating its 8th RES Users Meeting the previous day on September 23rd.

The HPC Advisory Council is pleased to collaborate again with the Barcelona Supercomputing Center for this upcoming High-Performance Computing education and outreach conference in Spain,” said Gilad Shainer, chairman of the HPC Advisory Council. “This is an excellent educational opportunity for European-based, HPC and data center IT professionals.”

Attendance to the conference is free. Registration for the conference is required and is now open. The one-day conference will include coffee breaks and lunch courtesy of the HPC Advisory Council.
