AMD Steps up with their own Radeon R7 High Performance SSDs

radeonr7_displayIn a surprise move today, AMD announced a new line of high performance SSDs. And while these devices are targeted at the PC gaming market, one has to wonder if this is a first step towards enterprise and possibly even HPC products.

AMD has gone with their popular Radeon branding for the new R7 Series SSDs, which feature OCZ and Toshiba technology augmented with proprietary firmware geared towards write performance and high endurance.
