Job of the Week: HPC Network Architect at Northrop Grumman

northropNorthrop Grumman in Maryland is seeking an HPC Network Architect in our Job of the Week.

This individual must have previous experience architecting, designing, and building high-performance routing networks for use in HPC applications. Any prospective candidate must be well versed in the standard network topologies (including Clos, Butterfly, Folded-Butterfly, Torus, and Mesh) and how topological choices affect bandwidth and latency through the network. Additionally, the candidate must both understand and be able to quantify how changes in the routing hardware affect the overall performance of the network. Skills will include extensive knowledge of modern routing algorithms, virtual channel router design, buffer flow control logic, resource arbitration, and packet prioritization. Finally, it is highly desired that this candidate have prior experience in combining multiple networks of different topologies while maintaining overall Quality of Service (QoS) metrics.
